Happy 4th of July and God Bless America!!
It’s been really hot.  I never thought I would say that 90 degrees felt cool, but after 100 plus degrees last week, it did.  The pool was the place to be.

The big news is our local Autauga Creek is now part of the Alabama Scenic River Trail.  The Autauga Creek Inaugural Weekend Paddle is set for Friday, July 20 to Sunday, July 22nd.  Come join a family fun filled weekend.  The creek is very beautiful and mostly shaded.  Kayak and canoes are available to rent at Prattville Paddlesports just a few miles from here.  The entry point is behind City Hall in the Daniel Pratt Historic District just a few minutes from us at the park.

The Autauga Creek Improvement Committee has worked very hard and made great strides to make this happen in the last year.  For more information, check out their website at autaugacreek.org.  A great group of people dedicated to making our world better!  I was definetely whooped when I got back home from a day of clean up and paddling.  I definetly need to improve my paddling skills too!
Kountry Air RV Park is Adopting a Stream crossing in support of this project.  Look for our sign coming soon on Country Road 10 at Bridge Creek.  Hopefully next year at this time, the creek will be open for paddling from this point.
